LIFT is a web magazine for the adventurer in all of us (not necessarily the gym goer) -- successful men and women who work hard and play harder. Fitness isn’t about living at the gym, it’s about living at your peak, no matter what stands in your way. It’s about obeying the alarm clock, peeling yourself out of bed, and finding that extra hour most people think they’ll never have.

LIFT items are selected either by myself or by one of my guest editors. If you have a cool tip, please share it with me! And, no, you can't pay to be featured on LIFT. That's what advertising is for, and it's clearly labeled as such. I do not want to destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of this blog.

For the most part, I take the photos ... but from time to time I use Getty Images, iStockphoto (where I am currently a stock photographer) and Bauer-Griffin.

BlogBurst.comLastly, this site is syndicated through Blogburst, so it's likely that you'll see LIFT on Fox News, Reuters, or USA Today.com.

I hope that you continue to enjoy LIFT. I look forward to publishing it.

Feed your daddy: 5 Father's Day breakfast ideas sure to please

Father's-Day-Food.pngIt's that time of the year again; summer is just around the corner. You smell the barbecues in your neighborhood and the Thong Song is blaring from someone's car radio for the hundredth time today (the years go by so fast, don't they.) Yes, with the coming of summer so comes Father's Day, the time to say thanks and show your appreciation to what your dad refers to as your mom's 'better half'.

And while Mother's Day seems to get all the glory, Father's Day is every bit as important. It gives us all an opportunity to show our dad that he really is appreciated. But, all to often, when Father's Day rolls around ... well, dear old Dad is lucky if someone throws a steak on the grill.

So this year, start a new tradition of spoiling your father (or your children's father) with a unique (and healthy) breakfast. Here are a few of my favorites (yes, I have made these before.):
Pan-Seared Oatmeal with Warm Fruit Compote and Cider Syrup
Liquid Ohm
Coconut Frushi
Coconut French Toast with Grilled Pineapple and Tropical Salsa
Blueberry Blender

These all sound delicious. I am going to mention them on my blog. Thanks!
